Yoga Nidra is a sleep-based meditation practice with quantifiable results. It allows us to experience ourselves as the unchanging state of being, beyond body and mind.

It is typically done laying down and in fact, it is the experience of deep comfort that allows us to open to these deep brain waves states that are the most profound for healing. In fact, this is the same state that doctors induce for patients with serious life-threatening disease or injury because it is understood that this state is the most highly healing and restorative to the central nervous system.

The more time we spend resting in the space of who we truly are, the less we are at the effect of what is passing through.

It is through the CNS that we perceive our world and if it is out of balance, everything is out of balance. When the central nervous system is restored to balance, overall healing is then set in motion.

It is said that one hour of Yoga Nidra is worth up to 4 hours of deep sleep which can often be lacking in people today.

In the deepest states of Yoga Nidra we are able to easily misidentify with harmful habits, patterns and thoughts and instill healthier habits, patterns and thoughts which help us to actualize our life’s fullest potential. This means that not only can we teach our body how to deeply rest and sleep again, we can also achieve greater fulfillment in every other aspect of life and living.

Samudra Yoga Nidra is an accumulation of knowledge from decades of study with leaders in the Yoga Nidra field, as well as study, experience and practice in health and wellness, science, energy medicine, and study of soul. This program has been influenced by the works of Richard Miller, Amrit Desai, Kamini Desai, Rod Stryker, Lorin Roche, Joe Dispenza, Gregg Braden, Bruce Lipton, Rupert Spira, Jean Klein, Alberto Villoldo and so many more.

This Meetup community is about sharing the wealth of Yoga Nidra through weekly classes and special events throughout the year that support the teachings of Yoga Nidra. We believe in the power and potency available to us through this ancient practice and look forward to sharing it with you.
