EVERY OTHER THURSDAY Night Paddle and Bonfire w/So. California Group

  • 4 days ago · 6:30 PM
  • This location is shown only to members

NO RENTALS AVAILABLE - If you are running late or don't wish to kayak, come at 8:30 PM to join us for the bonfire.

MORE DIRECTIONS: Google directions to the Bahia but instead of going into the Bahia Hotel continue on Gleason Rd, drive through the gate, and look RIGHT for the brick bathroom. Park just past bathroom.

If your dogs have not been on your kayak/boats before, please get there early and practice with them to make sure they are ready for a group paddle. YOU ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR YOUR DOG - THIS IS NOT AN OFF LEASH AREA

Bring your own kayak to Bahia to enjoy a casual paddle on Mission Bay at a social pace. We usually do a 1.5-2 hour, 3-4 mile loop (twice around the island). Another Kayak group called "GNN" may be nearby, ask for "Meetup" group to be sure. This event is cross posted with the San Diego Kayaking Meetup.

PLEASE BRING FIREWOOD TO SHARE FOR THE BONFIRE AFTERWARDS - BRING YOUR OWN DRINKS/SNACKS

****ALCOHOL IS NOT ALLOWED ON THE BEACH - DRINK AT YOUR OWN RISK

Things to bring:
A) Your kayak. Sorry no rentals available at this location
B) Life vest (Legally required
C) Headlight and/or kayak light (MANDATORY
D) Bring your own Drinks/Munchies (Cocoa, Chips, hot dogs, buns, etc). If you bring pie iron fillings, you're welcome to use my pie iron.
E) Firewood
F) Camping chairs (firepits are high so camping chairs work best)

Where were you? Traffic was super bad so only Darlene and I went kayak. Quiet on the water. Nice night for a paddle.
