Tell us about your experiences, favorite trips. Do you have your own boat (a kayak or a canoe)?

Way too many trips to list; kayaking Middle Salmon (all gear in kayak) in '76, rafting honeymoon there in '80 and Grand Canyon trip '03 may be high points. We have roughly 10 very assorted canoes, 7 ditto kayaks, 5 rafts. Canoed Bowron Lakes loop this September.

What type of kayaking do you enjoy? What level would you place yourself, beginner, intermediate, advanced, Instructor?

Love all kinds of paddling, though somehow don't own a sea kayak at present (except a Klepper!) and no sit-on-tops. ACA instructor-certified both canoe and kayak, and we've taught dozens of Girl Scout canoeing classes. Nobody should be arrogant enough to claim "advanced" skills, though, so call us "intermediate."

Paddled for 66 years. Whitewater K1 and C2, flatwater C1 and C2 marathon, cruising canoe WW and FW, WW raft including self-outfitted Grand Canyon. Wife Sheryl has done most of those too, plus WW C1.
