- Single Mingle for Lesbian, Bi, Trans & Genderqueers (Age 30-49)
Are you a lesbian/bi/trans/genderqueer person in San Diego wanting to meet more women? Maybe you're not ready for dating, but new friends would be awesome? Then this event is just for you. Our successful Lesbian/Bi “Single Mingle” will have you meeting interesting women, in one night, all your type. Specifically for folks in their 30's and 40's (and the ones who love them), this Single Mingle is open to all women looking for another woman as a friend or date potential. We are TRANS-INCLUSIVE. This event is open to all queer women/lesbian-identified genderqueer and non-binary folk. HOW IT WORKS: Incorporating 2 short answers from your registration (type + age range), we make sure you only meet women who fit your preference. After every 5 minutes round, you will receive a text message directing you to your next date. The more women that attend, then better! And while it’s not full matchmaking, this text messaging technology allows a more tailored experience than random, public speed dating. At the end of each date, you’ll add “feedback” about your date (“2nd date,” or “friend”). When two singles indicate the same level of interest, we email you both contact information within 24 hours. First Non-profit: The LGBTQ+ Center of Riverside is getting a little financial help from local San Diego Poker fans. Friends and friends and friends are organizing for a Texas Hold Em Tournament with a fundraising twist. Poker fans can come play Texas Hold Em, tournament style, while raising money for Riverside’s new LGBTQ+ Center, a valuable and needed new addition to the county. LGBTQ’s mission is to provide SAFE SPACES and Resources for the Local LGBTQ Youth & Community. Their message: As residential communities in the Inland Empire continue to grow, so does the area’s LGBTQ population. However, a few of us noticed that despite this growth, LGBTQ resources and spaces in our area were pretty much nonexistent ~ until now. In efforts to combat this disparity and address some of the growing local community’s most urgent and immediate needs, a small group of us have decided to create the area’s first LGBTQ Center. With limited safe spaces for LGBTQ youth in particular, who we feel are among the most vulnerable in our community, we are starting our focus there. That’s why the Texas Hold ‘em tournament is so important. Join us on January 18th from 7-10PM and Sunday, February 3rd from 3-6PM. $20 donation. Check in hour before. Gift cards for the winners! About the founder: Ditchi Manley, along with some close and equally passionate friends, have come together to create a safe space for the LGBTQ+ ally friends. Ditchi and her wife, Claire Manley met in 2009, became domestic partners in 2010, and married in 2015. Within this time, they have fostered 13 children and have successfully adopted and provided a forever home for 6 loving children, ages 5,6,7,7,9,13. Ditchi works 24/7 driving the 6 kids to 2 schools, 6 different after school sports, and extensive therapeutical mtgs. Ditchi has a full support system from her wife, Claire, who is a speech therapist for severe autistic children. Let's support these amazing moms. Come try your luck with Texas Hold ‘em, all for a good cause. For more information about the event, head to the fundraiser on Facebook https://www.facebook.com/events/7644644

- Lesbian/Bi Single Mingle: Expand Your Social Circle.
Expand your social circle with an evening of 5-minute meetings, quick connections and real conversations with women just like you. As the most successful exclusively lesbian/bi matchmaking agency in the US, Little Gay Book’s brand of lesbian/bi speed dating has brought more women together, in more cities, in less time than any other matchmaking agency. In this era of passive online dating and detached texting, we get you face to face, with real conversations, real connections, and real 2nd dates. Join us for the next event on Nov 15th in North Park. IF YOU WISH TO ATTEND, YOU MUST BUY A TICKET (RSVP-ing will not reserve your seat). BUY TICKETS HERE ---> https://www.littlegaybook.com/san-diego-speed-dating/ What to expect: Expect to meet up to 15 women, in 5-minute mini-dates, using a simple texting rotation system. You enter the age range and "type" of person you'd like to meet, you receive a text directing you to your next date, and at the end of the date, you enter "feedback" about your date. The next day, you receive a text with your "2nd date," "Friend" or "Business" matches. Then, the rest is up to you. Feeling shy about meeting someone new? You're not alone. We've been hosting these events for over 8 years and each one of our attendees feel nervous and then starts to have fun about 3 rounds in. Why? Because it's fun to meet new people and you don't have to worry about how to approach her, what to say to her or any other worries - You just have to show up and be yourself. *Video of previous events: http://bit.ly/2rffzGq *YELP Reviews from previous attendees: https://www.yelp.com/biz/little-gay-book-oakland *Watch Dr. Frankie (owner of LGB) describe it in 60 seconds: https://youtu.be/ZKqyyYZSnOs IF YOU WISH TO ATTEND, YOU MUST BUY A TICKET (RSVP-ing will not reserve your seat).
