Learn how to solder! Then help teach other people at the North County Mini Maker Faire in June and at Maker Faire San Diego in October!
Instead of our regular meetup, we're training volunteers to be soldering teachers. We'll have out the soldering irons and a small project. You'll learn how to make an LED badge, and be qualified to help other people learn how to solder.
The project is relatively simple but remarkably compelling. It's only seven pieces and eight solder joints but the experience of successfully completing the project is exhilarating. Students learn a new skill and get to wear the results with pride! ... and you have the pride of having taught them!
If you are experienced in soldering, please join us and share your knowledge.
The San Diego Makers Guild will provide the soldering irons and all the supplies. If you have your own iron or tools please bring them so we can train more people.
You must be at least 12 to participate. Anyone under 16 must come with a parent.
