There comes, now, a statement which will give a better understanding of the importance the principle of auto-suggestion assumes in the transmutation of desire into its physical, or monetary equivalent; namely: FAITH is a state of mind which may be induced, or created, by affirmation or repeated instructions to the subconscious mind, through the principle of auto-suggestion.

    Greetings

In this meetup, Michael Salois, mentioned that he recently downloaded a copy of 'As A Man Thinketh' by James Allen.

Since this book is now in the public domain, you can find several versions have been placed on sites like Librivox (https://librivox.org/)

Here is a list of the 4 versions that are available for download on Librivox:

I was most comfortable with the version read by Mark Cawley, but you may prefer a differnt reader.

I like listening to audiobooks while driving. I feel that it is a good way to learn something when I am stuck in traffic... I call it 'driving school'.

I recently discovered 'The Science of Getting Rich' by Wallace D. Wattles. I will be adding this audiobook to my collection of self help books.

What is your favorite source for audiobooks?

I agree, Audible is the best resource for audio books. My copy of 'Think and Grow Rich' is from Audible. I also agree that, for this meetup, we need to focus on 'Think and Grow Rich'.

It is kind of humbling to realize that these books (and many others like them) have been around our entire lives... and that we are only now discovering them and incorporating them into our lives.

LIVE TONIGHT 7:30 - EVERY MAN IS WHAT HE IS BECAUSE......

"It is a well known fact that one comes, finally, to BELIEVE whatever one repeats to one's self, whether the statement be true or false. If a man repeats a lie over and over, he will eventually accept the lie as truth. Moreover, he will BELIEVE it to be the truth. Every man is what he is, because of the DOMINATING THOUGHTS which he permits to occupy his mind. Thoughts which a man deliberately places in his own mind, and encourages with sympathy, and with which he mixes any one or more of the emotions, constitute the motivating forces, which direct and control his every movement, act, and deed!"~ Napoleon Hill

I finally got my goal down on paper per the instructions in Chapter 2 on the six steps for success. I had been mulling over the goal, what I will give and the plan for weeks, and got it crystallized this week!

I finally got my Chapter 2 statement written...the statement that is part of the six steps noted in Ch. 2.

20 to 30 people usually show up for this powerful study. Many do not RSVP. People come from the Facebook group also. See you tomorrow
