Come along and try out orienteering in the Meadows, Hills and Forests of Paso Picacho, Cuyamaca Rancho State Park. There will be courses available for all abilities - ranging from absolute beginner (with coaches on hand to help) to Classic Distance courses for seasoned pros.

Entry fees are $8 (or $5 for members), and include your Map, as well as Online Results and Route Comparisons after the event (estick rental & compass rental extra)– Did you successfully take all the shortest/quickest routes??
DIRECTIONS From the San Diego area go East on I-8 5 miles past Alpine then North on State Route 79 for 13 miles. Turn off to the Stonewall Mine before the south edge of Lake Cuyamaca. From the North, take State Route 78 to Julian, then South on State Route 79 about 10 miles to the south edge of Lake Cuyamaca, after which you will find the turn off to Stonewall Mine. Parking will be signed from the 79, and is at Stonewall Mine, 1 mile East on a narrow paved road.
PARKING: There is a State Parks Parking Fee of $10 per vehicle, (or free with an annual State Parks Pass).
