WHO WE ARE

The San Diego Paleo/Primal Meetup Group is a fun, fitness-oriented bunch of folks who take our inspiration from the paleo/primal lifestyle. This means exercising the way humans evolved to move, such as the way kids naturally play and the movements of people in tribal cultures, and eating the way humans were meant to eat, which means meat, veggies, fruit, nuts, seeds...sweet potatoes...and dark chocolate :).

We meet regularly, mostly at outdoor locations such as parks and nature preserves, to have fun potluck picnics, climbing trees, throwing things, jumping over stuff, using playgrounds, sprinting, playing tag, and having a great time! And sometimes we'll just eat and drink :) If you're in the San Diego area, please join our group. It's an ideal place to meet great, like minded people, and max out your health and longevity.

IS THIS FOR ME?

Yes! The group is open to all fitness levels. Whether you're a couch potato, a cross fit athlete, or anywhere in between, if you like being outside and challenging yourself, we think you'll love doing this! Our group includes people of all ages, both women and men. Kids are welcome, and they'll have a blast.

Happy New Year Hike - Mission Trails & Lunch

Mission Trails Regional Park Visitor Center

Fairly short but challenging hike in Mission Trails. Bring good shoes, and water. We'll grab some paleo/primal food nearby after the hike. We're still in if there's light rain, just be prepared! MovNat with Sacha

One of our members, Sacha, just got back from MovNat workshop and she is eager to share some fun stuff that she learned! Let's MeetUp this Sunday at 2pm in Balboa Park on the corner of 6th Ave. and Quince for a couple of hours of fun and movement. We will begin with some basic get-up and squatting moves to warm up, then head over to Trees for Health to hone our balancing and jumping skills. Then we'll utilize the large grassy filed for some crawling, rolling, more balancing, and maybe even a fun race if the mood strikes! Wear your Vibrams if you have them (regular sneakers will do the trick, too) and plan on getting a little dirty. Sacha's number is[masked] if you need to reach out to her.
