What is your programming or software development background, if any? (none is required)

I come from a traditional Computer Science background and have been working in tech as a systems administrator or developer since 1997. I have been doing Rails since late 2006.

What are your goals for attending or volunteering?

To help the general cause of promoting women in tech, and to get some experience teaching Ruby.

How did you hear about these workshops?

I was interested in helping to teach free or cheap Ruby classes when I discovered RailsBridge. I decided to help start one here in San Diego.

I am Ruby geek, beer enthusiast (BJCP judge and former homebrewer), foodie. Married with one daughter, who is too young for this yet, alas.
