San Diego Scala Users January Meetup

For the January Meetup, we will hack on the Scala Koans exercises from bitbucket for most of the evening. The Scala Koans are a good way to learn about Scala in small steps by fixing test cases so that they pass.

Also, member Jean Laurent will give an overview of a group project idea. The idea for the project involves combining scaladoc output and Mark Harrah's browse to write a search engine/doc browser/source browser for scala code. Some notes can be found at his github project page and a discussion over at our Google group.

I learned more about Scala. The koans from scalakoans.org were very helpful exercises.

This meeting was great. It helped me get a few concepts of Scala down and allowed me to ask questions to people who already have done some development with the language!
