The Lunar Eclipse with Lyle Tavernier of NASA JPL!

Wavelength Brewing Company is proud to welcome Lyle Tavernier from the NASA Jet Propulsion Laboratory to our tasting room for a fantastic science talk!

Lyle is an Educational Technology Specialist at NASA’s Jet Propulsion Laboratory who specializes in integrating technology into classroom instruction and providing STEM education through distance learning technologies. Prior to his work at NASA, he was a classroom teacher, instructional technology coach, and new teacher mentor. Lyle earned a Bachelor of Science in Educational Studies and a Master of Education in Educational Leadership, both from the University of Oregon, and a Master of Science in Geosciences from Mississippi State University.

On January 20th, a total lunar eclipse will be visible from southern California (and all of North America!).

Learn about the celestial mechanics that cause a lunar eclipse, what the term supermoon means, and how you can view and analyze the eclipse yourself!

As always, our science talks are 100% free and all ages, so bring the kids!

With clear skies, we'll be sure to break out our telescope for a look into the cosmos... cheers!
