  • California Clásico - SJ Earthquakes vs LA Galaxy @ Stanford Stadium

In the midst of World Cup fever, let's check out what the local competition has to offer. This will be the last game the Earthquakes play at Stanford, with their new stadium due to open next season. There is also a post game fireworks display for Independence Day. I've arranged discounted tickets direct from the team, which you can purchase for $27 + online fee through Eventbrite. www.anzquakes.eventbrite.com (http://www.anzquakes.eventbrite.com/) Please also RSVP through Meetup so I can contact you with any updates, or if we nominate somewhere to meet prior to the game. Tickets must be purchased by Wednesday 6/25. You will be responsible for picking up your own tickets from the will call booth at the stadium before the game. We will all be seated together, but if you want to make sure you are sitting next to your friends, purchase your tickets in a single transaction. Stanford has a special event Caltrain stop that is 1 station south of Palo Alto, and a short walk from there to the stadium. Parking is available for $20, which does not need to be pre-purchased. Unlike college football games, alcohol is served in the stadium during the game. Hope to see you there and go the Socceroos! Lee
