Speakers: Patrick Mundy and Albert Factora of BizRivet
You'll learn why companies using Salesforce and the Force.com platform can benefit from integration with SQL Server-based Operational Data Stores, Data Warehouses, and other databases. Then, you'll learn how that integration can be achieved. We’ll talk about some of the most common tools available, and then focus on using one of them, DBAmp.
Much more than just a CRM-in-the-cloud provider, Salesforce and the Force.com platform have a strong presence in well over half the companies we come into contact with. And at all of those companies, they have begun to integrate Salesforce with other corporate data assets.
You'll learn about:
• The Salesforce.com data platform (a brief introduction)
• Common tools used to access and integrate with Salesforce.com data
• How to use DBAmp to integrate Salesforce.com data with MS SQL 2008 R2
• Preparing to architect solutions involving Salesforce.com data at your company
In a live demonstration we’ll show you how to download and configure the DBAmp trial version, use it to extract some of the most common data objects from Salesforce directly into MS SQL 2008 R2, and if there is time, create a mini-project piping live operational data into a dashboard-like display within Salesforce.
