Uncle Dave formed while jamming at BACDS Family Week. These seemingly mild mannered folks unleash a mighty music, in Southern American style with Irish, French Canadian, New England and even English tunes in the mix.
-David Brown is a versatile instrumentalist, playing banjo, guitar,
mandolin, and fiddle. He’s been at the heart of the Bay Area old-time
music community for over 30 years.
-Dave Courchaine has been playing bluegrass, old-time and contradance music in the
Bay Area since the 1980s, and currently plays guitar with the Whiskey Brothers
as well as Uncle Dave.
-Kathrine Gardner has been a dedicated dance fiddler since the mid 80's, and has played in many great Bay Area bands. Many have fallen in love with her ethereal yet driving fiddle playing.
We're very fortunate to have Frannie Marr from So Cal calling for us. She organizes a monthly dance in Pasadena, and makes everyone feel welcome with her warm, friendly style.
