Hey guys - In honor of FITC coming to SF this year, we're organizing a little pre-FITC Booze Cruise for a nice afternoon of sailing around the bay to soak in some sun while enjoying the lovely views in the company of good friends & a few frosty beverages :)
The Majestic Ruby is a 63ft sailboat docked next to the Ramp restaurant off 3rd St. that sails a two hour cruise along the Embarcadero, around Alcatraz, loops under the Golden Gate bridge and returns back past Sausalito and under the Bay Bridge.
IMHO it is the best cruise in the Bay Area hands down.
If you don't believe me check out their yelp page for more info & reviews.
Our goal is to charter the boat out for a private party but to do this we need you guys to RSVP as far in advance as possible so I can tell the captain how many we are and try to negotiate the best price.
The boat itself charters out for $300 pr/ hour. (2 hour minimum)
So if 20 of us go it's $30 a head.
If 30 of us go it's $20 a head.
Otherwise a group size less than 20 will be something around $40 a head.
I spoke w/ our captain and admission does include lunch sandwiches & soft drinks and beer & wine can be purchased on board.
Also the limit the Ruby can hold is 30 passengers so we have to cut the RSVP off at that but be sure to hop on the waiting list if we fill up. (Current max RSVP is set to 25 to hold space for sponsorships)
Lastly - this is a fantastic opportunity for a sponsorship if any of you guys would like to get your company involved to help cover the expense of the charter & pour a gratuitous amount of good will into our community :)
If you'd like to help sponsor please drop us an email from the contact button in the left column of this page.
We think this could be a really memorable meetup & the perfect ice-breaker if we get a good mix of local & FITC people aboard.
Hope to see you there!
