Enjoy some Castro history at the Sausage Factory

sausage factory

How much do you know about the history of the Castro district? Sure, you've watched "Milk", read "Tales of the City", and some of you may have even lived in the city during the 70's. But for those who have migrated to the city there are few areas left to re-live the old days of Castro.

The Sausage Factory is an old-school pizza restaurant in the middle of Castro street. Everything about the place exudes history. From the furniture, the menu, and of course the waiters. This is a friendly, fun restaurant. So let's take a night out of a busy week and get together for some pizza.

You may want to arrive a bit earlier, as parking is much easier to find at 6:00. That will give you some time to do some shopping.

I've set this for a Tuesday night for those that can't make dinner on the weekends. It's also close enough to the muni to make it good for our public transportation members.
