Topic: "Rapid Inductions"
Instructor: Bob Lord

Cost: $5 or $10 (based on your payment date; see special note at end)
Date: Saturday, September 19, 2009
Time: 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM
Coordinators:
- Paul Hessinger of NLP Cafe
- William Song of San Francisco Bay Area Hypnosis & NLP Practice Group

Have you read the term "rapid induction" (or "instant induction") and wondered what it really means?

Like the word "hypnosis" itself, there is a great deal of confusion and misinformation around these kinds of inductions. Are they useful in a therapeutic setting, or just on stage? Do they have to be so aggressive, or are there kinder, gentler variations?

In this session we'll discuss various styles of rapid inductions, how they work, how setting and location affect the outcome, when to use them, and of course pitfalls.

Even if you never directly use these techniques (and even if you find them distasteful!), by understanding rapid inductions you will have a better understanding of hypnotic inductions and rapport building in general.

Like all the sessions in this group, we'll combine lecture, discussion, demonstration, and individual practice.
