Director of IT Development
Fulltime Perm. Position
This newly created position is responsible for the design, delivery and management of the technical team that produces, delivers and supports R&D and Business applications. This opportunity will give you the chance to spread your wings and be involved in a broad range of IT development.
Working in concert with the "functional equivalent", the Director of IT Development you will convert requirements and use case information from this team into developed application functionality. You will be responsible for activities such as: development across all technologies (.Net, PeopleSoft/ERP, Java, Perl, SQL, HTML, XML, B2B), QA, code management and promotion, DBA, and production control. You will thrive in managing a highly motivated team and will work closely with IT business analysts, infrastructure team, IT security team, and IT management to define and deliver a world class development and application support organization to enable a high growth fabless semiconductor organization.
You will implement and manage the software development lifecycle, including development standards, documentation standards, development procedures, project management processes, change control, code reviews and technology standards for on-premise and on-demand solutions.
Your technical leadership in SAP ERP, .Net, JAVA, Perl, GIS, Confluence, will motivate our SharePoint managers and development teams, and your background and understanding of systems administration, production control and change control will drive change.
With your expertise you will lead in implementation of formal development methodologies, processes, procedures, change control and tools across projects which encompasses: Review functional specifications with IT business analysts and recommend systems designs that can be developed and deployed quickly, review technical specifications with developers to ensure application design meets functional requirements and provide leadership to developers, communication oversight between developers and business systems analysts AND work closely with teams in multiple locations and communicate with remote teams and enjoy travel to your team locations globally as needed.
You will plan, forecast, and resource manage multiple concurrent projects. By creating and delivering applications development roadmaps, your internal executives and peers will share your vision. By bringing your experience outsource vendor management skills; you will promote excellent relationships across the globe.
