NO ORGANIZER FEE for this weekday urban hike!

Join us for a great urban hike up the Sausalito hills & across the Golden Gate Bridge. Take in one of the most beautiful, scenic views in the world on the Sausalito Ferry & the Golden Gate Bridge. Have a great time socializing while meeting new friends & enjoy lots of fun & laughter. Members in the group are always nice & friendly. We always have a lot of fun whenever we all get together with a couple of other meetup groups also invited. So join in on the fun! We look forward to seeing you there!

We will meet at Peet's for coffee & a meet & greet. Please arrive by 12:30 pm for announcements & brief intros before we hop on the ferry to Sausalito. When we get to Sausalito, we will have a quick lunch by the beautiful, gorgeous Sausalito coastline across from a popular Italian delicatessen. After, we'll walk through Sausalito downtown & hike up the hills & down to the beautiful coastal line towards the majestic Golden Gate Bridge to take in the breathtaking view of the bay & the San Francisco skyline. From there, we will walk over the Golden Gate Bridge to the city. Then, we trek down Crissy Fields towards the Wave Organ -- an acoustic sculpture constructed on the shore of SF Bay in 1986 by the Exploratorium & includes stone platforms and benches. Through a series of pipes, the wave organ interacts with the waves of the bay and conveys sounds to listeners at several different stations. The effects produced includes many ocean wave sounds. From there, we continue through Fort Mason towards Aquatic Park & Fisherman's Wharf though a fun mysterious "secret" path. The hike is a few hills & a bit of a distance so you will work up a pretty good appetite. For dinner, we will head to a local area for some very good & delicious Thai food around 6pm.

• BEFORE MEETING UP: Be sure to grab your lunches, drinks & snacks for our exploration. Be sure to have a healthy snack handy & a bottle of water in case of dehydration & blood sugar drops due to exercising several hours. Conveniently, there are plenty of stores, shops & delis in the area.

• AFTER URBAN HIKE: Dinner, dessert, group singing karaoke &/or whatever the night may bring.

• PLEASE NO LATE GUESTS arrivals after the hike. Thank you!

• RETURN: Most members will be taking the Muni from Fisherman's Wharf to downtown (15 min) after dinner.

• DIFFICULTY: Easy/Moderate -- 3 hours walk/hike with a couple of hills & steps but mostly flat. We will take some rest stops & breaks in between to regroup. For specifics: please google map -- Directions from the Sausalito Ferry Terminal to Moore Pier to Golden Gate Bridge to Crissy Fields to Wave Organ to Fort Mason to Fisherman's Wharf.
