You are invited to join the Wild Equity Institute and the Golden Gate Audubon Society to help restore the wetland habitat found at Pier 94. This event is rain or shine.

Pier 94 is home to the endangered California seablite (http://wildequity.org/species/16). In the 1960’s, the California seablite population was so small that the plant could only be found in Morro Bay. Today, seablite has been successfully reintroduced at Pier 94 in San Francisco and parts of the East Bay. We need your help to keep these populations growing.

Please wear sturdy close-toed shoes, weather appropriate clothes, hat and/or sunscreen. Bring garden gloves (if you have them), a water bottle, and a snack. The Golden Gate Audubon Society will provide instructions, tools, and gloves. You may want to bring your binoculars too. This is a great spot for birdwatching.

After volunteering at Pier 94, join us for a visit to Bay Natives Nursery. The nursery has an inventory of over 200 native California plant species. This is a great opportunity to learn how you can incorporate more native plants into your garden.

Meet at Pier 94, 480 Amador St, San Francisco. Here is a link with directions http://wildequity.org/locations/3181 Finding the location is a bit tricky. I highly recommend zooming in on the satellite image on the map. I will try to post something that makes it obvious where to turn to find the group.
