OC Gardners is a group of volunteer Master Gardeners who provide fun and useful presentations on a wide range of gardening topics. Whether you are new to gardening or a lifelong pro, our practical and science-based gardening sessions will help make your garden more beautiful, productive and sustainable. Topics include: edible gardens, ornamental gardening, California Natives, pest management, soils and much more.
Our monthly meetings include a 45-60 minute presentation, Q&A and great take away handouts. We will use this Meetup Group to let you know about county-wide Master Gardener presentations, but our initial focus will be presentations in San Juan Capistrano at Reata Park and Event Center, Los Rios Park and the San Juan Community Center. Come join the fun with fellow Gardeners.
**Please note this event has been rescheduled due to rain in the forecast** New date is May 18th.
This will be a presentation on how to build a butterfly garden and things to do to keep them coming to your garden. Whether you have a large space or a small space, there will be lots of good information for you. There will be two presentations, one at 9:00 AM and another at 11:00 AM. This will be held outside in the park, so please dress accordingly. In the event of rain, we will post a cancellation notice. There will be handouts and lots of garden information and helpful UCCE Master Gardeners to answer questions. There will also be a door prize drawing of butterfly friendly plants at each presentation.
