Are you a native Chinese speaker?

What do you love most about Chinese culture?

I like the work ethic, the custums, and the cuisine. My parents are from Switzerland and I grew up in America so I would like to learn "Eastern" culture instead of just the Western culture I have always been exposed to.

Are you using your Chinese for work/school/leisure purposes today?

I work at a biotechnology company where there are a lot of mandarin speakers so I sometimes speak very basic mandarin with my co-workers but I hope to work in China or Taiwan sometime in the near future.

How long have you lived/worked/studied in a Chinese speaking country?

I have only been on vacation to Taiwan and China for two weeks.

How long have you studied Chinese in US (or elsewhere)?

1 1/2 years

Ni hao, My name is Peter, I've studied Chinese (mandarin) for about a year and a half on my own and would like to experience a group learning enviroment. My hobbies include playing golf, bowling, and hiking.
