Course Description:
This course is designed to inform real estate investors, tax advisors and others serving the real estate industry of the recent changes to the tax laws, focusing on three major provisions of the final legislation: In depth discussion on 100% Bonus Depreciation. Bonus depreciation can create huge deductions, and improve cash flow for future investment properties. Update on the changes to 1031 Exchanges. Qualified Opportunity Zones - New Tax deferral program with similarities to 1031 Exchanges.

Course Objectives:
The objective of this course it to help Real Estate Investors, Tax Advisors, and Estate Planners understand how the new law benefits real estate holdings. We will review in-depth a number of less understood changes to the tax law that can increase cash flow and maximize ROI.

About The Speaker...
Rhett’s professional career has involved working personally with high net-worth individuals, across the country; training and speaking at conferences on a local, regional and national level. Rhett’s expertise in Cost Segregation began in 2010 when he joined the Cost Segregation Authority team. Primarily responsible for education and business development in California, he enjoys the client interaction most of all. Since 2010 he has worked on numerous Cost Segregation projects valuing multiple hundreds of millions in commercial and rental property. Rhett Gagon holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Brigham Young University. He is an active member of CalCPA, and sits on two committees for the same. When not at work Rhett enjoys spending his time being active with his wife and 3 children.
