Here in San Diego we have an average of 10 inches a year of rain fall. Wouldn't it be nice to catch and conserve that water for the summer time when we’re cursing the water company while watering our gardens? In this class you’ll learn the basic elements that go into rainwater capturing systems and what you need to get started yourself. After the class you’ll have to opportunity to assist in the creation of a simple, yet effective system that will collect water from our newly constructed chicken coop.
This class is being held inside the Del Mar Fairgrounds, if you made it to our pruning class, it's the same location! If you didn't, we'll meet on Via De La Valle, West of Jimmy Durante, on the street, starting at Pamplemousse by 1:45. WE WILL CARAVAN TO THE LOCATION FROM THERE. IF YOU ARE LATE, CALL US AT[masked] TO ARRANGE ESCORT TO THE SITE.
Wear comfortable clothing which are OK to get dirty. Bring gloves, wear sturdy shoes, and bring plenty of water.
We will also invite you back to see the finished education exhibit, and share your experience with others.
