If you haven't done a track workout in a while - or ever - it's an exciting way to mix up your training, increase your speed, and challenge yourself. Most people do repeats of 100, 200, 400, or 800 meters, but you're welcome to do any other type of workout as well. New runners are welcome!
Point Loma Nazarene's all-weather track has a beautiful view of the Pacific and is a hidden gem. Since it's tough to park on Point Loma's campus, we'll meet at the campus entrance: 3900 Lomaland Drive, near the intersection of Lomaland and Moana - and run down to the track together. You'll probably find parking on those streets or a nearby street.
We'll meet at 6:00 and start running to the track promptly at 6:15 p.m. Once we're at the track, everyone can break off and do his or her own workout. Afterwards, I'll lead us through about 15 minutes of recovery yoga and a core workout.
