• Alex's Lemonade Stand at CuriOdyssey! Help us fight pediatric cancer.
Guys! We are holding our 1st annual benefit to beat pediatric cancer June 2nd at CuriOdyssey at Coyote Point (https://curiodyssey.org/). We have free passes, for group members and their families who volunteer with us, to experience the best science and wildlife center in the area! We need help making and selling lemonade, and telling customers what Alex's Lemonade Stand is. Please bring the kids to work a shift and enjoy some time in the Bay Area's premier science and wildlife center. Each donation received for a cup of lemonade fights childhood cancer: it's an easy sell! You don't need to be there the whole time, but come hang out for an hour, and show the kids that volunteering can taste great. We will have snacks and refreshments sponsored by Plum Organics, and all proceeds go to the Alex's Lemonade Stand Foundation. ALSF so far has raised over $150 million dollars for cancer research at over 135 institutions. Find out more by visiting https://www.alexslemonade.org/ If you cannot attend in person, but would still like to help, please donate on behalf of San Francisco Dads Group at the following link: https://www.alexslemonade.org/mypage/1453345 Just click "Select team member" and pick San Francisco Dads Group on the list. All of our cities are hosting stands, and you are joining our nationwide team by helping a great organization. This year Plum Organics is bringing their food and flavors to our stand. Plum is a Public Benefit Corporation, and we've teamed up with them before to address food security. This time, Plum listened to the work City Dads Group does with ALSF to fight childhood cancer, and they said "How can we help?" Find out more about their organic food and snack lineup for children at https://www.plumorganics.com/

  • Let's do the SF Zoo!
Dads, let's take the kiddos to the zoo! You know the spot. From their website: "Nestled against the Pacific Ocean, the San Francisco Zoo is an urban oasis. It is home to over 1,000 exotic, endangered and rescued animals representing more than 250 species and lovely peaceful gardens full of native and foreign plants." Bring lunch or snacks, if you'd like. The weather should be great!

  • Playground Playgroup: Golden Gate Park Playground – Koret Children’s Quarter
Let's do it again and, hopefully, meet some of our newest members. You know the spot: "With an embracing deep green backdrop, the new and improved children’s playground at Golden Gate Park was reopened in 2007 and renamed the Koret Children’s Quarter. As you enter the large play area, the laughter and energy of local children often fills the air. Established in 1888, there is something special here that many playgrounds do not offer – an authentic carousel. While this historic gem provides a delightful center of wonder and mental stimulation, the entire Children’s Quarter is marked with a sense of youthfulness, fun, and invigorating action." Pack some snacks and bring a couple of bucks for a carousel ride, if you're so inclined. (Some cardboard if your kids can tackle that MASSIVE slide!)
