At Sheba, you can kick back and bask in the warmth of a fire and friendly surroundings. The restaurant and lounge have a sultry, relaxing ambiance complete with walls hand-painted in rich tropical tones. In the center of the restaurant is a wall built to resemble the rock-cut Bet Giorgis church in Lalibela, Ethiopia.
Live music begins nightly at 8 p.m. Sunday through Thursday and 9 p.m. Friday and Saturday, drawing a late-night crowd that enjoys owners Netsanet and Israel Alemayehu’s African nights inspired cocktail menu. The cocktail list includes ethnic twists on classics such as the Red Sea, an Ethiopian-style Bloody Mary spiced with sherry and mitmita spices. Cocktail, Dinner and Lounge menus are all available at all hours Sheba Piano Lounge is open.
