Firstly, I hope this email finds you well this holiday season.

Welcome to our new members over the last few of months!

]My apologies at my lag in communication, things have been very busy for myself and even more so during the holidays.

I am gearing up to be more apt about posting events in the Bay Area (and further) and I welcome anyone who would like to join Susan as an event coordinator. Please let me know if interested in that position or any other; as this group is getting larger and larger by the by of each month!

Personally, when Eimear stepped down last Summer I did not want to see this Meetup group close forever. So I stepped up as organizer, and while my intent is fully here, I know I have not met my own goals of pumping more life and getting more members together like I had hoped. I am recently getting very active in the Gaeilge speaking community in San Francisco and the greater Bay Area, such as Berkeley, so this should bring a more positive active light to our group. Hats off to Eimear for starting this group and graciously staying with us!

I encourage more members to be proactive as I've seen this last month with spurring ideas for meetups. And I also hope to find more of you checking in more often, my suggestion is at least once weekly, but at minimum at least once monthly. I'd hate for a great meetup opportunity to pass you by!

And as your organizer, I want every member to know I listen to every suggestion with the utmost attention. While it may take a little while to get us roaring to great Irish craic, nevertheless it's here in my heart, and my hope is to share it with all of you soon!

I wish everyone a wonderful holiday season!

Le gach dea-ghuí,
Marlene
