Ride the Rail Runner

Meet at the Los Ranchos Rail Runner Station parking lot at 8:00 am for a 45 mile ride to Belen. We will return via the Rail Runner. This group ride will be flat at a 12 - 15 mile per hour pace. We will not leave any slower riders behind. There will be rest stops on the ride but be sure to bring plenty of water. After the ride, we will have lunch in Belen before returning on the Rail Runner.  The Rail Runner leaves Belen at 1:04 pm and gets back to Los Ranchos at 1:57 pm.

I could never do a ride that long nor would I even want to attempt it. When I ride my bike it is to get somewhere or at least it used to be that way when I lived in Wisconsin and had no other means of transportation. But you guys have a fun and safe ride.

Never say never, Cherri...someday you might decide you'd like it. I once said I'd never be able to ride 50 miles now I've done several centuries (rides of 100+ miles in a day) and I love self-contained touring by bicycle. Life is amazing by bicycle.

I know life is great on a bicycle but I am just not into the cycling right now. I will be 65 in April and want to take things easy. It is not fun for me to ride along at 12-15 miles and hour. I like to coast along at a leisurely pace no changing gears or climbing hills flat is good.
