Sankofa Sunday is a Code Switch: Restorative Justice for Girls of Color mentorship & affinity space where local women of color who teach, mentor, provide services for, mother, other mother, and/or support girls and young women of color can find the support they need to thrive and succeed. Join us as we take time for a little self-care while reclaiming and celebrating our collective power to envision new possibilities and build a strong network of support for the girls and young women we teach, mentor, love and nurture.
"Hey Queen Hey!" Join us as we kick off the[masked] season of our monthly Sankofa Sunday Sister Circle. Sankofa Sunday is a grown woman gathering place cultivated expressly for women of color who teach, lead, mentor, love, nurture, and care for Girls and Young Women of Color. It's a great place for us to network, recharge, and be inspired. Since August marks the start of the new school year for our girls, let's switch it up a bit. First, we'll gather and break bread together at Brio Tuscan Grill in Town Square, then head on over to the Africa Love Store for some cultural shopping with hopes of securing something we can rock on the first day of the new school year to let our girls know they, like we, reign supreme! See you for a celebration of "US" in August Queen! Can't wait to chop it up at Brio, then Africa Love!
