    Join us for the next Hustlers Happy Hour on Monday, June 17th, from 6-7:30pm downtown. This time we'll be checking out Night Lizard on State Street! Night Lizard is a great new spot that opened just a few months ago. They are named after an endangered species, and they donate a portion of all proceeds to nonprofits that support this cause! Come by on the 17th after work and bring a friend. Hustlers Happy Hours have become a great way to meet new friends and learn about upcoming opportunities to volunteer in the community. Join us at our favorite coffee shop in the afternoon to hang out and co-work. Uptown Handlebar is the best place to relax with community and to enjoy a delicious drink ☕️ and some tasty food 🥐 Bring your computer 💻 to work on a current project. Bring your favorite book 📖 so we can share some enlightening ideas. I’m rereading a classic called The Holographic Universe by Michael Talbot.   • World Oceans Day + Lost Art of Love Letters

    World Oceans Day is this Saturday, June 8th! Want to volunteer for a fun event and spread your love for the ocean? This SAT, June 8, the SB Maritime Museum is hosting a FREE family-friendly event including activity stations, demonstrations, and information booths. Our friend Sondra with Lost Art of Love Letters needs 2 or 3 creative + outgoing volunteers to support her Love Letters booth! We've worked with Sondra + Love Letters before, and it's always a great, positive time! Volunteers will also be helping well-known local puppeteer, Matthew McAvene, who is a fun guy to work with.   • Climate Change + Consciousness: next SB Consciousness Network event

    Santa Barbara Consciousness Network will host its next event, "Climate Change and Consciousness," on FRI, June 7 form 6-8pm at Unity of Santa Barbara, 227 E. Arrellaga St. This event will feature a panel of wonderful local experts, including: - David Pellow, Ph.D.: UCSB Environmental Studies program - Rinaldo Brutoco, founding president of World Business Academy - Lamara Heartwell, environmental activist + granddaughter of one of the Exxon founders - Kathi King, Community Environmental Council See more info and officially RSVP here: https://www.eventbrite.com/e/climate-change-and-consciousness-lets-make-a-difference-tickets-61472411638 Free event, with a suggested donation of $20.   • Youth Interactive needs volunteers for 1st Thursday event

    Youth Interactive, one of our favorite nonprofit partners, would love some Hustlers volunteer support for their 1st Thursday social event, June 6, downtown. Help needed: 4-5pm: setup (2 volunteers) 5-8pm: wine pouring (2 volunteers for 1hr shifts) 8-8:30pm: cleanup (2 volunteers) Youth Interactive organizes a fun social each month for 1st Thursday at their downtown space that tends to draw a great crowd. This is a nice way to help out, have some fun, and get to know a wonderful organization!     Environmental Defense Center is looking for volunteers to support its biggest annual fundraiser, Green & Blue. The event is SUN, June 2, from 2-6pm at the wonderful Stow House in Goleta. Lots of volunteers are needed throughout the event, and especially for setup + breakdown. This is a SUPER fun event that Hustlers has supported in the past. It raises lots of money to support EDC, who does really important work for the environment in the Central Coast. If you'd like to volunteer, please email Kaleena with EDC at [masked].   • Rotary fundraiser at Montecito YMCA / Rubber Duck Boat Race!

    Our friends with the Montecito Rotary Club have invited Hustlers to support their annual Rubber Duck Race at Montecito YMCA on SUN, June 2nd at 10am. This is a family friendly event that includes a rubber duck boat race in the pool that will help raise money to support the Montecito YMCA, local scholarships, and other Rotarian service projects. Volunteers are requested from 9am-1pm to support with setup, registration tables, helping with the Bounce House, and more. The event includes food, music, and games, and sounds like a fun time!     Join us for the next Hustlers + Friends Potluck on WED, May 29 at 6:30pm. Come enjoy a breathtaking ocean view while connecting with friends about how to serve our Santa Barbara community!     SUN, May 26 we will join Keep It Clean SB for a beach cleanup down at the pier. Leanna who runs Keep It Clean will provide bags + gloves.
