We are charging $1 per person for this event (host time, space reservation, communication, and preparation). Please pay that directly to me (Jan) on arrival.
We'll wait 5 minutes after the 9:15 start time, so if you arrive later than that, just look for us and join us.
For our October neighborhood walk, we'll meet at the Mission Rose Garden and head south-east, weaving in and out of these beautiful neighborhood streets.
This monthly 2nd weekend morning 90 minute walk will alternate between Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays in a different neighborhood each month. Medium paced, we won't be doing a fast power walk, but not casually strolling either, somewhere in between. If there are enough of us, we can always separate into 2 groups for different paces. Sometimes, we'll stop to admire something or get a closer look, and then we'll be back on pace.
We'll be walking and talking about what we see in landscapes, gardens, architecture, fountains, nature, color, style, porches, windows, plants, designs, added touches that we admire, and anything that we love about what we see and that tickles our fancy, as well as any other shared topics of interest that come up. Like site-seeing on foot, we will be walking through neighborhoods with hills, level ground, or by the ocean, and everything in between.
Let's get outside, oxygenate ourselves, move our bodies, be inspired, get ideas, and see all the unique and sweet characteristics of each diversely beautiful neighborhood in this amazing part of the world we live in.
We will wait 5 minutes and then begin walking, so if you arrive late and don't see us, you can look for us in the neighborhood and join us there.
