Mara,

Count me in for the hike and brunch next Saturday, July 28. See you at the parking lot at the intersection of Beach, W. Cliff, Pacific Ave. and the entrance to the wharf at 9 AM.

Sonya,
I hope this will be seen on the site for everyone (I am a little confused about this obviously).  It actually is Saturday I was thinking of for the hike:

Atheist Hike and Brunch -- July 28th -- Saturday
9:00 a.m. hike (try to be prompt--we will leave on time--call [masked] if you are running late)
11:00 a.m. brunch (meet on platform stage by Marini's, between Alioto's and Marini's on the right hand side of the Municipal Wharf)

Modest hike beginning at the Municipal Wharf by the bathrooms by the parking lot on Beach Street.  We will walk in two groups if people want (a faster group and a slower paced one) for 55 minutes down West Cliff to however far we get and turn around and walk back for 55 minutes and then walk down the Wharf to the brunch site.  Bring sunscreen, water, layers as it can be windy and cold early in the day, and food or money for brunch.  The early start time is to beat the Saturday crowds a bit and the sun.  Folks who don't want to hike are invited to the brunch.  Suggested topic for the walk and brunch:  ways to publicize our new Atheist Happy Hour around the area.

I could get together for a hike/brunch next Sat, the 28th, but not Sunday. Mara, what did you have in mind?

Hi, Howard,

I have changed my Santa Cruz Atheist identity to the real me.  Should I repost the hike/brunch idea for next weekend or what should I do?

Thanks, and sorry for any confusion.

Wilder Ranch
Nisene Marks

Waddell Beach

Lots of beaches

Lots of bike trails to many of these places, too.
Road-biking: Santa Cruz to Davenport for lunch at the Roadhouse Cafe and then back is fun, too.

Besides Music of the Spheres:

Shakespeare Santa Cruz
(We're going July 29 to 2 PM The Man in the Iron Mask, Aug 5 to 2 PM Twelfth Night inside, and Aug 11 to 2 PM Henry IV Part 2.)
