We are going to do it again! Our 7th year in a row as a group to this event! Come enjoy a day out with the Cabrillo's culinary students as they work with the local swift street area wine makers to create delicious food pairings. This is a great value for the quality and quantity of food and wine you will experience. Our group will take part in voting for the best wine, best food and best pairing. We will start by walking around to each of the wineries on the west side of Santa Cruz, tasting the food/wine creation and then we meet at rewards ceremony area. The results are announced at the after party / rewards ceremony where we drink more wine, dance to some live music and socialize as a group. I am asking for $80 per person if you pay on through this site (to cover my transnational fees).. or I will offer you to pay me $75 (my cost) if pay directly using paypal at this link https://www.paypal.me/SCMWT/75 Whatever is easier for you.. Looking forward to another great event this year.. Our 6th year as a group attending this great event. PS>; if you have any questions, please do not hesitate to email me at [masked] Robert LaRiviere
This is our group's 3rd year at this great event that features an "all you can eat gourmet food from the local Carmel restaurants and all you can drink wine from the local wineries". The group will meet at the Scheid Wine tasting room between 12:30PM and 12:50PM as a way to find each other. Cheryl will be hosting the event for our group and provide a way to connect. She is the one in the event picture holding the wine glass the way it is supposed to be held ! We are all doing the "main event" for $75 dollars. if you sign up for the VIP experience and get into the event 1 hour earlier, it would be nice if you could make an appearance at the Scheid's wine tasting room prior to 12:50PM to connect with the group. Last year, the group walked the street together, tasted and compared notes and then met for dinner afterwards. This event was a 5-star event for the whole group ! NOTE: There is a lot of other activities that are extra during Thursday and Friday Evenings. Please feel free to sign up for those as well - but the group will not be gathering formally for those. • Tickets https://www.eventbrite.com/e/27th-annual-monterey-winemakers-celebration-tickets-56602686158?aff=erelexpmlt IMPORTANT: I ask that you do NOT sign up if you do NOT buy tickets. It is really hard to coordinate attendance for the host and people signing up as a way to mark their calendars is unfair to the host! Please - please - only sign up if you plan on attending and purchasing tickets !
This is a 2 day event - but we will be attending Sunday, June 2nd as a group. Highlights of this day are the Kings of Calamari and Masters of Mussels! Locals and restaurants from afar bring the best in these two categories. Different seasonings and flavor combinations allow for much to taste as throughout the day different offerings are released alongside an array of international cheeses and charcuterie and more. Guests continue the celebration with a completely mouth-watering experience from both the wineries, spirits and beers and bounty of food. You’ll also enjoy A Cultured Cheese & Charcuterie Experience courtesy of Sysco. Live music enhances the experience. **Please do not RSVP until you have bought a ticket.** For a limited time, you can purchase tickets through Groupon. This ticket includes one hour of early admission (make sure to select June 2)- https://www.groupon.com/browse/san-jose?lat=37.339&lng=-121.895&query=monterey+wine+festival&address=San+Jose&division=san-jose&locale=en_US If you miss the deal through Groupon, you can still buy tickets through the event site - https://destination-experiences.ticketleap.com/montereywine/ People are welcome to carpool to the event. We will not be attending Early Bird as a group, but you are welcome to attend. We will meet in the Club Room, located in the Portola Hotel at 10:30, so we can attend the event as a group.
