5 Do's and Don'ts of Building Relationships that Matter

Peter Gardner

I am in the dark as to how to create a profitable business or business model around my personal skill set. I'm wondering if any of these events address this issue for people like myself who might be really proactive in building things but who simply don't understand how to make a business out of any of it. I kind of had the impression that Mr Gardners site might have addressed this kind of thing but it seems mored geared toward those who already have an idea , not people trying to find one.

But most of all — in addition to learning a little bit about the first stages of building a startup — people built relationships and made connections that will help them as they continue to pursue their goals.

Loved Peter's ideas about entrepreneurship -- and his plan to reproduce the Silicon Valley relationship-model of fueling startups in an online venue. I joined Startgrid today and it was pretty much friction-free (especially for an alpha-phase site). I urge all SC techies to join -- we could become the biggest community on Startgrid!

Great conversation about the culture of entrepreneurism and how to help all the players in the start up of a company - the entrepreneur, advisors, mentors, VC etc. find each other across geographic and other common obstacles. If you are one of the above looking for your next project your're going to want to check out Startgrid.
