Info about Pitches and Format for Thursday's Meetup

Andrew M.
Group Organizer

I just want to send you a little update about format of the Meetup with Adeo Ressi and the pitches.
As the leader of the Founders Institute, Adeo has heard thousands of pitches and has helped hundreds maybe thousands of entrepreneurs to refine there ideas and hone in product market fit. This is a great opportunity to get honest feedback from one of the best in the business.
If you want to pitch, please fill out this short form. Those who have filled out the form will get to pitch first and, if we have time, others in the audience can pitch as well.
Some general guidelines:

  • Anyone can pitch their startup idea
  • You startup can be in the ideation phase, in beta, or even recently launched
  • You will have 90 seconds to pitch (think like you are trying to get an investor interested enough to take that first meeting with you)

Some tips for your pitch:

  • define the problem you will solve
  • describe your solution (your product)
  • tell how you will make money
  • If you can throw in a few data points about the problem and why you have the correct solution, all the better
  • If you know other similar products try to express how your's is different
  • Also, if you can, touch upon why your team is uniquely suited build your startup

See you Thursday — this will be fun!
