  • Let's meet up and listen to more use cases of Cloud Foundry!

Signal Sciences will discuss modern vulnerabilities and remedies to securing next gen applications. Over the last several years we've witnessed, and experienced, an advance towards new approaches in web technologies and the processes to deploy web applications. In this talk, we'll explore and describe the "Modern Web", discuss observations on the evolution of the Secure SDLC, recognize existing challenges in achieving real-time threat visibility once web applications are deployed to production, and finally, walk through the concepts that address the challenges in fast paced "agile" development cycles. Speaker Bios Aaron Jahoda is a Senior Sales Engineer at Signal Sciences and has experience implementing solutions ranging from on-premise content management systems to cloud-based application security systems. When not working to secure the web, Aaron is probably playing music or at a concert. Andrea Swaney is the Director of Strategic Partnerships. She has spent the last 10 years with security startups in leadership roles including Sales, Business Development and Alliances, and has been with Signal Sciences for 3 wonderful years. When not working to secure the web, Andrea is likely to be found reading about or drinking wine, or on a vineyard somewhere in California or France.

  • Pivotal Cloud Foundry Spring Framework

    Pivotal

Spring Framework 5.0 is here! Kenny Bastani: One of the most exciting introductions in this release is support for reactive programming, building on the Pivotal Reactor project to support message-driven, elastic, resilient and responsive services. Spring Framework 5 integrates an MVC-like component model adapted to support reactive processing and a new type of web endpoint, functional reactive endpoints. In this talk, we'll look at the net-new Netty-based web runtime, how existing Servlet code can run on the new world, and how to integrate it with existing Spring-stack technologies. Raj Mistry: Raj will be presenting on Managing the Complexity of Microservice Deployments (using Apigee Edge and PCF). As a technologist with 20+ years of experience, Raj knows how to design, develop, and operate a wide range of systems, including cloud hosted (IaaS/PaaS/SaaS) applications, RESTful web services & APIs, web applications, mobile apps, private cloud infrastructure, and security architecture. He has hands-on experience with full stack development and provides technology leadership in both small startups and at Fortune 500 companies. Currently, Raj is a Solution Architect at Google helping customers with their API management initiatives.
