Bonfire #5: Winter in LA!

  • Alright, guys, it's bonfire the fifth!  Whip out your sweaters and let's cozy up around the bonfires at Doc Weiler Beach with some good food, good drink, and good times.  Here is a link for more handy information about the beach: http://www.parks.ca.gov/?page_id=617

This event will be BYOB. Plan on coming with some food/ drink and some firewood (pretty please) so we can keep the party going into the wee hours, or until they chase us off the sand :)

As the event approaches, we can post what we're bringing in the comments section. I will be there bright and early to reserve a couple of fire pits (and, honestly, I can't make any sangria-free promises). Anybody is welcome to come keep us company at any point in the day, but the actual bonfire part will start around 5ish.

    How to find us
As soon as I arrive and reserve some fire pits, I will post a comment and send a message about our location. I will also send out my phone number.  I will pick a spot as close to the main parking lot as I can, so just keep an eye out for my pink canopy.

    Parking
They do have a pay lot. However, if the weather is nice, expect it to fill up quickly. You can also try to snag street parking (though they'll ticket starting at 10pm I believe) or hunt down a lot. But, let's be real - your best bet is going to be to carpool, uber, lyft, etc.

    Suggestions on things to bring:

    • Firewood!!! We need lots of this to keep our bonfire going.

    • Drinks (water to stay hydrated, booze, etc)

    • Food

    • Utensils/plates/cups/napkins
