Welcome to Adventure People! This group is for everyone who loves to hike, kayak, rock climb, and anything that gets us outdoors. We have a great team of organizers who schedule local outdoor activities, social events, and weekend camping trips. We also do group trips to destinations around the world.
Some of the things we've done include watching the Northern Lights in Iceland, hiking the Inca Trail to Machu Picchu, rappelling down waterfalls in Costa Rica, trekking on a glacier in Argentina, hiking the W Trek in Chile, climbing a volcano in Hawaii, visiting the country's national parks, exploring the world's most spectacular caves in Vietnam, cliff jumping in Cuba, and that's just a few.
As much as we like to be adventurous and enjoy getting off the beaten path, we also enjoy relaxing and doing things like sailing the Greek Isles on a private yacht, taking a cooking lesson from a Michelin rated chef in Provence, and enjoying the calm waters of Halong Bay on a junk boat.
Adventure People all have one thing in common, we want to travel the world and have fun doing it. We're explorers, not tourists. Regardless of where you go and what you do, it's the people you share the experience with that you'll remember the most. That's why it makes a trip great when you share it with other like-minded people. What you'll find in Adventure People is that we're a fun, active, adventurous, welcoming group of friends. By joining our community and participating in our local and international trips, you'll not only have a new group of friends but new travel companions whom you'll want to share more experiences with. That's why you'll always see repeat travelers on all of our trips!
We'd love for you to join us there! We know that people who belong to a lot of Meetup groups are overwhelmed with email and we've found this to be a better way to communicate with all of our members. It's also a place for you to see all of the RSVP's for our group trips that bring together travelers from multiple cities.

Every year, from November to April, the southern Baja peninsula is a playground for gray whales, humpback whales, and whale sharks. The gray whales & humpback whales migrate more than 10,000 miles between their summer feeding grounds in the Arctic and the coastal lagoons of the southern Baja peninsula, where the females give birth. Meanwhile, on the opposite coast, the Sea of Cortez is a feeding ground for the elusive whale shark who migrate there to feed on plankton. Whale watching is a unique experience in Southern Baja and perhaps the most extraordinary wildlife encounter you’ll ever experience!
