Beginner Casino Salsa Classes

Sign up through the City of Santa Clarita Seasons (on-line) or the magazine sent to every home in the SCV.

No experience needed. No partner needed.

Beginners start at 6:30.  there are a number of styles of salsa. Casino (Cuban) is widely unknown in most of the US but widely popular around the world and is a "foundation" dance, meaning that this leads to quickly learning other styles of Latin dance to include bachata, cumbia, LA salsa.

Late starts are encouraged, but the City still requires the full registration fee.

We teach the basic step, guapea, the 5 Foundation moves: dame, adios, enchufla, sombrero, vasilala, 10 basic commands, and several move variations. Easily executing all these is necessary before venturing into the intermediate realm.

Intermediate class starts at 7:45. Intermediates are invited to come in early to help, but only have to register for the Intermediate class.

Our local performing team is comprised of intermediate and advanced dancers and we use the intermediate class as a prep for performing.
