  • Beer Can and BBQ Beach Picnic!

    South Lido Beach

Been far too long, time for another one of these -- so much fun! We had a great turnout at the last one. BYO Beer Cans. I recommend Total Wine for a great selection of Craft Cans. ABC on Bee Ridge has really stepped up their game, especially with local stuff. Norman's Liquors on Clark Rd. is good and if strapped for time, Publix has been expanding their selection. Be prepared to trade cold cans so we can all have a good variety. So here is the deal: We will take over some picnic tables and grills. Bring whatever you want for the picnic. There will be plenty of us around who will grill for you if you don't want or do it yourself. I will have plenty of charcoal, napkins, plates and plasticware. Side dishes to share are appreciated! We will enjoy the sun (plenty of shade there as well), share some beers and have some laughs. Feel free to bring the youngins. No excuses, come on out and celebrate the diverse group of friends that we have made sharing our common interest of great beer! Bring beach chairs, towels, sunscreen, etc. http://www.lidokey.net/beach.shtml#slido Cheers and Better Beers, Jim P.S. If we have any volunteers to get there nice and early to save tables, that would be great! Please let me know! Maybe bring your fishing rod and get started early!
