This is an annual event for the 5 Columbia Restaurants to celebrate their 108th Anniversary. They will roll back prices to 1905 for their most well-known food, such as the Chicken and Yellow Rice, 1905 Salad, Spanish Bean and Cuban Black Bean Soups, Sangria, and Flan.
Meet at Columbia Restaurant on St. Armand's Circle at 7 AM. They will give out one number to each person in line. They don't open until noon, and will seat patrons at that time by their numbers. I was told that they can seat 300 people at one time, but this is such a popular event, that we need to be there early to get numbers together for seating at the same time. NO RESERVATIONS are allowed on this date only.
This article in the Orlando paper yesterday explains the event: http://articles.orlandosentinel.com/2013-09-11/entertainment/os-orlando-restaurant-news-20130911_1_75th-anniversary-closest-columbia-celebrates
After receiving our numbers, we will walk on Lido Beach and/or swim, then return to Columbia for our 1905 lunch.
