Usable Accessibility - making your site usable and accessible

Is your website truly "usable"? Your site's design may make sense to you, but are you unknowingly frustrating your visitors so they "bounce" away?

And would you knowingly turn away over 18% of your website visitors? That's what's happening if your website is not accessible to the  approximately 54 million people with disabilities in the U.S. (according to the a 2005 report from the United States Census Bureau.

Come and get answers to these questions and more:

• Why does it matter if your website has good “Usability”?

• Why are the risks if your website is not accessible for people with disabilities?

• What are some tools and methods that help you evaluate your website for usability and accessibility?

• What are the top 3 things you can do today to make your site more accessible for those with disabilities?

Come to our meetup and meet Accessibility and Usability Expert Jeff Blizzard. Jeff is a 25 year veteran of the IT world, currently working at the number one ranked insurance company in the US, on their Accessibility team. He is also a volunteer with the "Make WordPress Accessible" team.
