What we're about

Saturday morning meditation sangha (meditation community) where you can practice silent sitting, guided meditation, walking meditation (or other movement) and dharma shares (sharing our practices and mindful listening). Our sangha stewards are lay practitioners from the Thich Nhat Hanh tradition. While Thich Nhat Hanh is the primary teacher, this group is for the purpose of meditation practice and is not a Buddhist religious practice.

This sangha is part of the Peace and Justice Committee of Palomar Unitarian Universalists.

Meditation practice starts at 9:00 AM with silent sitting for 10 to 20 minutes. There may also be readings, a movement meditation (usually walking), guided meditation, and maybe a period of dharma sharing (talking about how our practice is going).

There are several Sangha Stewards who take turns facilitating the meetings. Each brings a different perspective and style but all with kindness, compassion and heart.
