    The Norwegians

    by C. Denby Swanson
    Oct. 18 - 23, 2016
    Arena Stage, Performing Arts Center

Moving to Minnesota has been full of surprises for Olive; especially once her boyfriend jilts her and she attempts to hire Gus and Thor, two unusually ‘nice’ Norwegian hit men.  Nothing is ever quite as is seems in this charmingly dark comedy about loss, lutefisk, and the desperate sprint to find love before the long cold winter sets in.

    Dead Accounts

    by Theresa Rebeck
    Nov. 29 – Dec. 4, 2016
    Center Stage, Performing Arts Center

Jack's unexpected return throws his family into a frenzy, and his sister Lorna needs answers. Is he coming home or running away? Where is his wife everyone hates? And how did he get all that money? Theresa Rebeck’s new comedy tackles the timely issues of corporate greed, small town values, and whether or not your family will always welcome you back… with no questions asked.

    Salome

    by Oscar Wilde
    Feb. 21-26, 2017
    Center Stage, Performing Arts Center

Inspired by the Biblical account of a King’s daughter and a doomed prophet, Oscar Wilde’s 1891 Salome is a lush and sensual piece of theatrical poetry exploring fear, jealousy, and forbidden passion.  Our production will seek to create a unique world around this complex piece; using evocative lighting, a rich soundscape, and movement inspired by Japanese Butoh dance.

Student Spotlight: An Evening of Short Plays

    April 20-23, 2017
    Arena Stage, Performing Arts Center

Comedy, drama, classics and the experimental are all fair game in a collection of pieces which is entirely directed, performed, produced, designed, and managed by advanced students in the Theatre Major. Exact titles will be chosen at the start of the Spring semester.
