Providing a unique and customized web experience to every visitor is one of the primary goals of every major retailer. The reasons for this are clear: it creates user loyalty, and greatly enhances conversions. A variety of challenges to providing this personalized experience however, have prevented this from happening. Until now, there has not been an effective enterprise class solution that can provide the real-time capability of understanding the customer and providing the content and multi-channel context that provides for a unique experience that feels tailored to the customer.
Based on experiences at companies like Walmart and eBay, Tushar Montaño and Seth Kutty of VentureSoft Global (http://www.venturesoftglobal.com/) will describe the people and process challenges that must be overcome and along with Brian Bulkowski (http://www.linkedin.com/in/bbulkow), founder & CTO of Aerospike, will discuss new architectures that can be deployed to build these real-time capabilities.
