This is a group for anyone interested in growing their personal yoga practice. Classes are suitable for all skill levels, beginners are welcome! Sequences are based on Vinyasa Flow, Hatha & Power Flow. Props are provided (i.e. blocks, straps, bolsters), candles, incense and a GREAT playlist to get you moving :)
Calm your mind; strengthen and energize your body. Yoga has the potential to transform us, bringing us to change our perspective and strengthen us physically and emotionally. It brings us in touch with a deeper, more peaceful level of our being.

ABOUT THE INSTRUCTOR:
Vanessa is an encouraging, energetic, and vivacious instructor. She loves spending time with her family, cooking, baking, dancing, singing and laughing. She lives in her kitchen, where she has so much fun baking with her two girls. Teaching yoga is her passion and she loves sharing that every day!
For as long as she can remember, Vanessa was always running a mile a minute, until she found yoga. Yoga has provided a positive way of channeling her excess energy. She also credits yoga with bringing more focus, balance, and positive challenges to her life. Her personal yoga practice began as a way to stay fit, however it eventually developed into more as she noticed a significant increase in her patience, calm, and ability to control her moods. All of this has also benefitted her as the mother of two boisterous young girls.
Inspired by her very first yoga instructor, she knew this was something she wanted to pursue. After completing her teacher training downtown Toronto (Yogaspace), Vanessa eagerly began teaching as frequently as possible. Her passion for health and fitness translates into her challenging, high energy yoga classes. Having experienced the power of movement with breath, Vanessa emphasizes the connection between these two elements in every class. She currently runs a fitness based yoga program from Simply Swagg Dance Studio in Scarborough. In addition to this, she teaches at hot yoga studios around the GTA and has built a private clientele. Vanessa has a passion for creating sequences that work specific muscles groups and challenge her yogis in new ways!
