  • This is an opportunity to be with yourself and the other-than-human realm.

It's a time to let the Mystery be your ally and your guide, and the land to be the container for your journey.

A Medicine Walk traditionally happens from dawn to dusk, in preparation for an initiation ceremony.

However, for this self-contained day event, we'll first sit inside in council (talking circle) in the morning, to find your thread or question of the moment, before you go out onto the nearby Downs in the afternoon.

You'll then spend some solo time walking, wandering, listening, receiving ~ in conversation with the animate world.

Before you go out, you'll receive guidance on self-generated ceremony and ways of staying open to the land so that it can be a mirror to your inner landscape.

You'll then come back to the circle where you'll be invited to share your story, in order to be met and heard and to bring a deeper understanding to your experience.

The invitation is to come with the story or a life theme that is strong in you at this time so that an authentic journey can take place.

The space that we'll create together will be safe and contained, and everything and everyone is welcome.

    'Sometimes
    if you move carefully
    through the forest...

    you come
    to a place
    whose only task

    is to trouble you
    with tiny
    but frightening requests,

    conceived out of nowhere
    but in this place
    beginning to lead everywhere.'

    ~ David Whyte
