  • This year, the theme is books that have been adapted to other media. Read the book, see the movie, listen to the audio drama or watch some of the TV episodes. Come and talk with us. How well does the story work in different formats?  Which is your favorite?

January 17, 2017 Dracula by Bram Stoker

Grand-daddy of all horror novels, the original is an "episotlary novel," composed of letters and diary entries from multiple characters' points of view. You can find it in any library or as a free download from Project Gutenberg or Librivox. There have been a gazillion movies. Who is your favorite Dracula? Bela Lugosi? Christopher Lee? Gary Oldman? Leslie Nielsen?
