Every month we gather 3 smart speakers and a curious crowd. In December: How did the homoerotic BL genre evolve into a huge market in Japan? What are the new tech and apps that are challenging centralized web services? And we take a look at at the experimental and educational world of 20th century Japanese science films.

Drinks (both alcoholic and non) and food from Tiny Peace Kitchen will be available. Eat, drink and be square-y! Kids are also welcome at Nerd Nite.

Anne McKnight -- Butterflies and Smog: A Short History of the Japanese Science Film (科学映画)

Tsubasa Kondo -- Dapps: Distributed, Decentralized, and Dank (http://twitter.com/Tsubasak111) Audio preview at https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fLDF2PntJYE
